Steel & EPS Panelized Building Systems
You will have control over your construction time, your costs, your material usage, and your design phase; all this in a green building system that is mold and pest resistant and a great insulator.
• Ultimate Energy Efficiency and Hurricane Tolerance Building panels use rigid planks of solid expanded polystyrene (EPS) reinforced with galvanized steel studs & angled steel top & bottom corners.
• The Green Home Framing Panel
- Constructed out of recyclable EPS with density 1 lb per cu foot
- 18 gauge and/or 20 gauge 1008 steel studs and tracks
- Chase groove is precut for wires
• The Connectors
Steel studs that become the wall studs are intergrated into the EPS. Top and bottom tracks provide support, rigidity, and movability
• The Designs
Standard exterior wall thicknesses are 6 inches, interior walls can be 3 ½ inches, the roof can be 7 ½ inches. These thicknesses are designed for proper R-Values
to adhere to international building code standards.
• The Roof
The Green Home Framing Building System can accept most conventional roof types, including the Green Home Framing Steel/EPS Reinforced Roof System, wooden or steel truss roofs, and steel roofs.
• Tests
Structural capabilities have been tested at the Structural Testing Laboratories of Lehigh University’s Advanced Technology for Large Structural Systems (ATLSS) Engineering Research Center, 117 ATLSS Drive, Bethlehem, PA 18015
• Construction Speed
After the concrete foundation is laid down and allowed to cure, the Green Home Framing track is properly leveled and installed, the exterior walls of the house are erected in a few hours, with the ceiling and roof following soon after.
Our time-under-roof goal is less than 48 hours. Construction can take place under extreme weather conditions because of the properties of the building materials.
• Green Home Framing Advantages Over Conventional Homes
- Advantages of steel over wood
- Inorganic, does not rot, mold, warp, split or crack
- Fire resistant
- Insect proof
- Lighter and stronger
- Precision of construction
- Lower environmental impact
- Energy efficiency
- Improved air quality
